Attorney at Law

Attorney James P. Reddy Jr.

Jim Reddy was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of James P. Reddy, Sr., and Barbara O'Malley. Jim's father was a Cleveland Firefighter and also a member of the Asbestos Workers, Local 3. Jim Reddy attended St. Ignatius Elementary and St. Ignatius High School. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration at St. Bonaventure University, majoring in Accounting and minoring in Philosophy.

While attending Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Jim Reddy worked as a law clerk with the Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court. It was there that he began almost forty years of helping people through very difficult and challenging divorces. Jim developed the court's first child support guidelines which preceded those used today. He also provided the court with an interest formula for use when determining arrearages in child support and spousal support.

Jim Reddy teaches family law classes at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and has presented lectures at various continuing legal education seminars for bar associations and professional education associations. He has years and years of experience in representing divorcing clients, whether settling, reconciling, or going to trial.

Jim is the father of three grown children and two grandchildren. He coached soccer, basketball, and baseball and was president of his parish's CYO when his children were young. He was on Steering Committees and Parish Council. Jim is an avid Cleveland Guardians fan and patiently expects to see a World Series win during his time on earth.
